Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will acquire skills on computer technologies and resources for improving the proficiency in chemistry and regulatory environments. He/she will acquire knowledge of the most useful IT programs, applications and databases for chemistry and regulation problems and how to practically rum them on computer systems.

Course contents

Chemical informatics provide the tools to acquire, organize, and evaluate data, yielding new insights for further chemical research. The purpose of this module is to provide the students with basic knowledge of spreadsheets or free computer programs to data analysis, or of databases for compounds properties or bibliographic research.

Teaching methods

In 2017/18, the ChIR classes will be taught in in University of Barcelona.
