Learning outcomes

Al termine del corso, lo studente acquisisce i presupposti teorici e le conoscenze sui metodi di analisi utili alla comprensione della gestione sostenibile delle risorse naturali. In particolare, lo studente è in grado di: - identificare i diversi valori economici che possono essere attribuiti a una risorsa naturale; - indicare i diversi metodi di valutazione delle risorse naturali; - stabilire obiettivi e strumenti relativi ad una gestione sostenibile di risorse naturali; - applicare gli elementi fondamentali dell'analisi costi-benefici a progetti di gestione delle risorse naturali. Lo studente acquisisce inoltre conoscenze sulle procedure di VIA, VAS e Valutazione di incidenza. In particolare, è in grado di: - conoscere gli strumenti più utilizzati nella valutazione degli impatti; - conoscere le direttive corrispondenti; - conoscere ed analizzare casi studio con addetti ai lavori.

The course aims at providing the students with the theoretical background and the basic notions concerning the economic management of natural resources. In particular, the student will be able to identify the many components of the economic value of environmental goods and to evaluate them according to the principles of economic assessment. Cost-Benefit Analysis of environmental projects and Contingent Evaluation Method will be thoroughly examined.

In the second part, held by Prof. Bruna Gumiero, Environmental Impact Analysis and related methods are presented. In particular, attendants will gain familiarity with the main analytical tools of each methods, and the related institutional framework. Case-studies will be reviewed, with the help of practitioners of the field.

The most common evaluation methods: Contingent Valuations - Hoq to employ questionnaires
