Pharmacology

In the Department of Pharmacology there are 25 instructors, of which 7 are Full Professors, 10 Associate, and 9 Research Assistants, in addition to 10 technical-administrative staff personnel.

The teaching activity involves instructors in the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, both for the 2nd cycle degree courses and the numerous 1st cycle degree courses and the Specialisation Schools.
The Department is the seat for the Specialisation School in Toxicology, of the Research Doctorate in Pharmacology and Toxicology, of the Masters II level in "Prescription Drug Evaluation and Pharmacoepidemiology" and of the Regional Centre of Assessment and Information on Pharmacy.
The research areas cover all of the realm of pharmacological disciplines: from experimental toxicology to neuropharmacology and to clinical pharmacology.
