Earth Sciences and Environment
The Department of Earth Sciences and Environment stems from the fusion of three preceding departments (Geological Sciences, Mineralogical Sciences and Geography) and comprises all of the geo-mineralogical disciplines, and to some extent, Geography
The research activities embrace all Earth Sciences from the fundamental sectors (Geology, Geomorphology, Mineralogy, Paleontology, Petrography, Geochemistry) to those more specialised and applied, as well as Surface Hydrology (fully anticipated).
The instructors and researchers are engaged in teaching activities for the 1st cycle degree courses in Geological Sciences, Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Science and Technologies for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage and Pharmacy.
