Agri-food Protection and Improvement - DIPROVAL
The Department, founded in 1983, runs teaching and research activities in traditional sectors, and moreover, innovative, operating jointly among vegetable and animal production and alimentary and industrial strands, in the context of objective, present and future, modern and generalised in the spirit of a rational and global agricultural development.
The teaching and research personnel, comprising 25 instructors (I and II phases) and 23 researchers, is specialised in diverse scientific areas and is supported by circa 70 technical units (structured and non-structured), thus reaching a total of approximately 120 people.
The Department is divided into four branches: Bologna (principal campus), Reggio Emilia, Cadriano (Granarolo Emilia-BO), Cesena and subdivided into 10 sections:
Zootechnic Farming, Chemistry and Technology of Food I, Chemistry and Technology of Food II, Economics, Phytoiatrics, Agricultural Engineering, Mycology, Microbiology I, Microbiology II, Vegetable Pathology.
