The research activity of this department covers:
diffusion in polymers, membrane separation processes (membrane distillation, reverse osmosis, pervaporation, electrodialysis, gas separation, affinity membranes, etc.), photocatalytic processes, multi-phase stirred vessels (including CFD applications), inertial separators, chemical process safety and risk analysis of plants and transportation of hazardous materials, remediation of contaminated sites, petroleum engineering, mining engineering (underground & quarry), NMR characterisation of porous media, characterisation of ornamental stones.
