Electronics, Computer sciences and Systems - DEIS
DEIS was born on April 1st, 1983 as the outcome of the merge between the two former Institutes of Automatic Systems and Electronics of the School of Engineering.
The Department board, several offices, and laboratories are located within the buildings of the 1st School of Engineering in Viale Risorgimento, 2.
Other DEIS sites are located at the recently instituted 2nd School of Engineering, both in Cesena, Via Rasi Spinelli 186, and in Forlì, Via Fontanelle 40.
Some Department members also work at the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation in Villa Griffone (Pontecchio Marconi) near Bologna.
Many DEIS members are affiliated also with some sibling Institutions, which, in some cases are partially or totally hosted by the Department itself.
It is surely worth mentioning the Advanced-Research Center on Electronic Systems for Information and Communication Technologies "Ercole De Castro" - ARCES, the Center for Research on Complex Automated Systems "Giuseppe Evangelisti" - CASY, and the CNR (National Research Council) Institute of Electronics, Information and Telecommunications Engineering - IEIIT.
