Archaeology
The Department of Archaeology is divided into two branches, one in Bologna in the prestigious ex-convent of the Lateran Canonics of San Giovanni in Monte, and in Ravenna, in the Casa Traversari.
In both structures it is possible to use the ample services that the department has: two specialist libraries, organised in sections that comprise a complete library patrimony of 80,000 volumes and 300 subscribed periodicals, with sections devoted to disciplines from prehistoric to late antiquity-medieval classical archeology, not excluding methodological areas, united to an vast repertoire of ancient sources, lexicons and encyclopedias. The services offered also include a series of laboratories: computer, photography, materials, restoration, and chemical, employed both for teaching and research purposes.
