Guide for the application of the University Identity System

A Guide for University structures is useful for offices needing to produce products or services with a communication purpose in the respect of the coordinated image of Alma Mater Studiorum.

Presentation of Guide

For a variety of reasons, a large number of university structures are frequently requested to provide products or services with a communication purpose: University and Faculty Guides, cultural initiatives, workshops and conferences, advertising on newspapers or periodicals, magazines, brochures illustrating teaching and master's courses, folders, posters and any other materials which the University may produce or else may be referred to University.

To support all of these different activities, the Administrative Communication Department (DAC) and the Public Relations Office (URP) have prepared a Guide for the application of the Identity System to be used by University structures.

The Guide for the application of the Identity System is a document illustrating how the University logo can by used in a clear and detailed manner in compliance with the graphic guidelines in use, thus enhancing the development of Bologna University Identity System. The criteria to be adopted are presented in this publication for the first time.

Far from limiting the users' creativity, this Guide is designed to be a supportive tool and to promote the communication needs of each and every structure or office.
The graphic solutions are flexible and can be applied to a wide range of contexts while highlighting the identities of the various promoters: Campus branches, Faculties, Departments or Administration's Departments.

Besides promoting the coordinated image of Bologna University and promoting its use in a considered way, the Identity System and the relative Guide will now simplify the relationship of university structures with some third parties, such as collaborators or suppliers. The Guide comes with a CD to assist in the realization stage of communications materials providing samples and working documents for the most widely used applications in use.

The Administrative Communication Department and the Public Relations Office have taken up the responsibility for extending the Identity System to a large number of University's internal users, with the purpose of reinforcing their identity and shared image. These departments will be there to provide support and information for all that concerns the Identity System.
To correctly implement the resources available, everybody's care and cooperation is needed.

The Guide for the application of the Identity System of Alma Mater Studiorum - Bologna University is reserved only to the users of Bologna University and must not be used legally by third parties or for non institutional purposes.
