prescribe medicines as needed, but only for emergency therapies for a maximum of three days; emit illness certification, but only in case of need and for a maximum of three days; admit patients to the hospital.
The off-hours medical assistance service may not be used in place of a general practitioner. The doctor on call may not formalize medications prescribed by other medical caregivers, including prescriptions recommended upon dismissal from the hospital. The doctor on call may not prescribe specialized medical exams, appointments with specialists, or physical therapy sessions.

FOREIGN STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY

Foreign Students of the University have the same rights as other students only if they regularly pay taxes to the National Sanitary System (SSN)

HEALTH CARE FOR ERASMUS

Before leaving for Italy, European citizens have to request the T.E.A.M. card  by their own National Health Service, to guarantee themselves medical care in their destination country.
Instead of  T.E.A.M. card they can get a private medical insurance.
The T.E.A.M card provides the medical assistance forseen by art 9 c. 3,  letter b) and c) of D.lgs n. 30/2007 for UE citizens who don’t want  to change their permanent address, such as for example, students staying in Rimini only for a short time.

RESERVATIONS FOR MEDICAL SERVICES AT THE CUP

Once you have registered for a doctor it is possible, to reserve specialist visits and exams he/she prescribes through the CUPTEL telephone reservation service by calling 0541774629  Monday - Friday from 8:00 to 18:00.
The telephone reservation system is managed by the CUP agency (Central Reservations Headquarters).
The phone system makes it possible to deal flexibly with high demand for medical services.
You may also make reservations at any one of the city's 11 CUP windows and at one of the many pharmacies connected to the reservation system.


PHARMACIES IN RIMINI

Rimini's pharmacies observe the following hours

The Vallesi Pharmacy: 8-13/15-19:30 (in summer 16-20)
Pharmacies take turns staying open on weekends and at night.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT SERVICE - SAP

The Servizio di Aiuto Psicologico (SAP) for university students enrolled at the Rimini Campus is managed by the Psychology Department of the University of Bologna.
As in Bologna, it is staffed by members of the department and the service is completely free.
Students wishing to make use of the service must fill in a confidential information form. Subsequently, a member of the staff will call to make the first appointment.

ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Students registered at the University are covered by the University's insurance policy in case of accidents that occur during attendance at which "scientific experiments, practical exercises or work simulations" take place and against accidents that might occur during visits to "scientific laboratories, industrial plants, etc."

COVERAGE

The services "covered" in case of accident include:
- medical and surgical care including hospitalization
- prosthesis
- life-long financial assistance check
- life-long income for disabilities incurred during accident
- payment to family members in case of fatality
University students are also insured against any injury that might occur while in transit through university facilities and in all structures in which students engage in "study and research activities authorized by the University."

Throughout Italy, Consultori Familiari provide free direct acess to psychologists, social and health workers, obstetricians, gynecologists, and pediatricians.
The Consultorio provides psychological, medical, and social assistance related to issues of sexuality, birth control, abortion, sexually transmitted diseases, and women's and children's health.
