Cesenatico, students have the opportunity of attending university studies a few steps from the beach and of living in a tourist-oriented town (with over 100 hotels). The town offers several services and can boast an identity of its own even in winter times. University structures and facilities are highly advanced and students can make use of technological equipment and laboratories for several hours a week. For their leisure time, students are spoiled for the embarassingly wide choice. If during the summer, the beach is the main attraction, during the rest of the year it is possible to enojoy the beauty of the sea without the chaos of the high season. The town offers several bars, pubs and discos to spend a happy night with friends.
STUDYING
The Degree Course on Fish Farming and Ichthyc-Patology is located in
via Vespucci 2. The structure includes a fish farming basin (in
via dei Mille 160) with two water recirculation plants (one with 1,000-litre basins and the other with 200-litres basins), used for experimental testing.
Classrooms
The building in
via Vespucci includes 2 classrooms for frontal teaching and exercises:

Auditorium: 140 posts. The
auditorium is incorporated to the Marine Research Centre (near the main building). Here it is possible to attend frontal classes but also degree presentations, seminars and conferences.
Information Laboratories
The structure includes an information laboratory equipped with 9 Internet-connected PC platforms. The access is only allowed to the course university students.
Library and Books Fund
The books fund is composed of 15 sector and scientific magazines and by over 200 texts in Italian and English. The Library provides basic books for enhancing the active learning and all fundamental books about fish farming. Students can have access to the library of the adjoining Marine Research Centre, as well as to the more general library of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at
Ozzano dell’Emilia.

The Sea Gardens are the result of a great restoring work, very close to the beach and sea establishments. The beach areas have been re-qualified thanks also to the participation of private entities. The current surface of the Garden is of about 2 kms, but a further expansion of the surface to the eastern side is planned for the next months. A very long green area has been obtained with hundreds of trees, fences, flowerbeds, and pedestrian crossings, cycle paths and children facilities, including water fountains and gazebos. A real oasis for children and adults, located between the sea and
via Carducci (promenade), with hundreds of car parks.
Parco Pubblico di Levante

The
Levante park covers a surface of 40 hectares with grass, maritime pines, poplars, alders, oaks and bush areas (tamarisks). The park includes two ponds with fauna (swans, mandarin ducks and gallinules), two areas with children facilities, several picnic points, public toilets and a bar open only during the summer. The entire area is equipped with cycle ways and walking paths. The internal old country house has been restored to host during the summer a Centre for the Elderly, promoting several recreational activities.

Ponente park has a surface of 13 hectares, almost completely planted with trees. The park includes two football playgrounds, a recreational and snack area, public toilets and several children facilities. A cycle way and a walking path cross the entire park surface.
