The Lab is used by students both for basic purposes, such as e-mail, web browsing, word processing, and multimedia and e-learning or other more complex activities as required in the specific study courses necessitating PC-use.
Access
The Laboratory is accessible to all the Faculty students and to the students of the degree courses in the Languages Area provided by the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy.
Opening Hours
The Lab is open on Monday afternoons, from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm, on Wednesday mornings, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm, on Thursday afternoons, from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm and on Friday mornings, from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Access regulations
Access is solely reserved to the students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature and of the degree courses in Languages provided by the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, as well as to foreign students attending courses at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature.
Rules of behaviour
- Students must also switch their mobile phones off when inside (this is for health reasons as well as to be respectful of others: cell phones interfere with the PC magnetic field and can also cause annoyance to other students. The technicians are of course exempted from this rule);
- Students must not access the Lab with other unauthorised people;
- They must not use Internet for abusive activities and misconduct on their part;
- They must not install software or other material without the prior consent of the technicians.
Activities that can be carried out
- Word processing for the writing up of documents *;
- Web surfing and email;
- Multimedia material consultation.
* Document printing is not allowed.
NB: Failure to comply with these rules of conduct can lead to expulsion of the violator and the withdrawal of his/her pass.
