Presentation
Founded in the mid-1960s by a group of high-profile teachers fully engaged in public life (for example, the economist Beniamino Andreatta, the sociologist Achille Ardigò, the historian of political doctrines Nicola Matteucci, the historian of Catholicism Giuseppe Alberigo), the Faculty has continued to keep up its intellectual and scientific involvement both in the Italian context and at international level.
Among the Faculty’s teaching staff, there are industry and cabinet advisors, leading editorialists of important Italian journals, politicians; in the scientific field, our research institutions are part of the most important international networks. Within this intellectually stimulating and advanced academic environment, particular attention is devoted to students. The Faculty offers a broad-ranging, interdisciplinary and international education, which has been rated to be among the top by the Italian university standards.
