Welcome by the Dean of Faculty

The Dean, Prof. Claudio Galletti, outlines the Faculty's development.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is a leading Faculty of Bologna University. Its Lecturers, Professors and Researchers publish significantly more top quality scientific works than Bologna University's other scientific Faculties. Students in Pharmacy have a chance to enjoy a high quality training experience in the field of scientific research in various disciplines, ranging from basic scientific subjects in physics, chemistry and biology, to more professional disciplines in the fields of biotechnology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical technology. Over the last decade the Faculty of Pharmacy of Bologna University has acquired great momentum through its high quality teaching and now offers its students innovative and professional teaching paths. The offer includes two one-long-cycle Degree Courses (LSCU) in Pharmacy and in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies in Bologna, besides a degree in Pharmacy in Rimini. Such degree Courses are for a longer period, last five years and fall within the European regulations governing health standards, thus giving them a wide application in all European Countries. Besides these, the Faculty offers a second cycle Degree Course (LM) in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies (Bologna), and two first cycle Degree Courses (L) in Applied pharmaceutical sciences and in Quality Control of Health Products (Rimini). New important teaching projects are currently underway and we will be strongly committed to them over the next years, to ensure that the Faculty of Pharmacy can continue to be a leading Faculty within Bologna University. We will also continue to work to forge closer links between Lecturers, Professors and Students of our study and teaching 'community'. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the very best to the Students, Lecturers, Professors and Administrative and Technical Staff working within this 'community'.
