The Faculty of Industrial Chemistry in Bologna has 7 classrooms for teaching, equipped with wall and overhead video projectors. The branches at Faenza and Rimini have modern classrooms, computing facilities, wall and overhead video projectors.
The Faculty is equipped with advanced and highly technological laboratory facilities for practical experiments and exercises:
- 1 lab for practical work in Industrial Chemistry.
- 1 lab for practical work in Analytical, Inorganic and Metallurgic Chemistry.
- 2 labs for practical work in Organic and General Chemistry
- 1 lab for practical work in Physical Chemistry
Information and Computing Laboratory
The Faculty owns two information and computing labs, with 10 and 28 seats, respectively. The two labs support the teaching courses that need exercitations with computers.
The 10-seats lab is available for the students during the lesson-free time. The access to the lab is ruled by a magnetic badge reader. The badge is given to all the students and to the faculty members. A temporary badge can be requested for external people by contacting the library personnel.
The 28-seats lab is reserved for the institutional exercitations. The 28 workstations run a dual boot Debian/WindowsXP operating system. For the login to the workstations the institutional account (name.surname@studio.unibo.it) is required, all the workstations have Internet access (windows XP operating system).
Two computing labs are also available in the faculty sites in Faenza and Rimini, with similar access rules.
Opening hours:
Every weekday, from 8.00 am to 5.15 pm. Lab access is monitored by a magnetic reading system to prevent unauthorised user access: so it is necessary to use the university badge both to enter the laboratory and to use the PCs.
The operating systems available are Windows XP, (Professional Edition) and Debian.
