The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine comprises 3 departments and 1 departmental section and offers a wide range of advanced state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructures supporting the teaching activities.
The Faculty is made up of three departments and a departmental section (Dept. of Veterinary Medicine, Dept. of Veterinary Morphophysiology and Livestock Farming, Dept. of Veterinary Public Health and Animal Diseases, Section of Veterinary Biochemistry), which are equipped with independent scientific structures and facilities.
In addition to the Departmental facilities, the Faculty makes use of modern teaching infrastructures such as the Faculty's Main Library, the Veterinary Hospital, the Abattoir, the experimental Animal Centre, the Centre of Artificial Insemination of different animal breeds, 18 lecture halls fitted out with advanced multimedia technologies, a multimedia lecture hall with Internet connection and the chance to use CD-ROMs, a language laboratory for the study of foreign languages, an IT laboratory and three study halls.
