Education Sciences

The Faculty of Education Sciences was created in 1996.

The new degree courses of the Faculty are the professionalised 1st cycle degree courses (two designed for future teachers, four dedicated to socio-educational professions) and the 2nd cycle degree specialised courses (there are three and will begin with the next academic year).
In particular, the professionalised 1st cycle degree courses comprise this repertoire of degree courses:
  • The academic courses aimed at future teachers contains a qualifying degree plan-for primary education it is still a four-year degree course-in order to teach (a1) in nursery school (early infancy: 0-3 years of boys and girls) and in order become a professional family tutor, (a2) for kindergarten (secondary infancy: 3-6 years for boys and girls) and (a3) in primary school (third infancy: 6-11 years for boys and girls).
  • The academic courses devoted to socio-educational professions of extra-scholastic agencies (cultural centres, professionals, sports and leisure, environmental, rehabilitation, etc.) and post-scholastic (for permanent education, recurrent and continuing) are consigned to their terms a professionalised degree in the following four educational sectors: (b1) a cultural professional/expert in the educational sciences, (b2) professional educator, (b3) socio-educational organiser, and (b4) educator.
