EU students who are not permanently resident in Italy, possessing an insurance in their country of residence and possessing a European health card (TEAM):
Such students may have recourse directly to a GP of the National Health System (or to an Emergency Department of a hospital).
EU students who do not possess insurance cover in their country of residence (no TEAM):
Such students must take out a specific insurance policy. After that they may have recourse directly to a GP of the National Health System (or to an Emergency Department of a hospital).
If such an insurance policy is lacking, the amounts due for the health treatment will be wholly charged to the student.
Non-EU students:
Non-EU students who are registered with the National Health System and are interested in this service should contact Settore Diritto allo Studio to obtain a badge showing the formula Convenzionato Az. USL- BO' .
To apply for voluntary registration with the National Health System students must pay a lump sum of € 149.77 on a yearly basis. The amount is paid yearly and its validity expires on December 31st of each year. It entitles payers to receive a health card with an indication of the GP of their choice.
