Enrolment for Laurea (First cycle degree/Bachelor - 180 ECTS) and Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico (Single cycle degree/Combined Bachelor and Master -  300/360 ECTS)

All the information required to EU and non-EU citizens having equivalent rights about the modalities and the deadlines for the enrolment to Laurea (First cycle degree/Bachelor - 180 ECTS) and to Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico (Single cycle degree/Combined Bachelor and Master -  300/360 ECTS).

Annual contingent

These citizens are excluded from the foreign students contingent; for them there are no limitations except for the limited or restricted access degree programmes, to which they can access to on the basis of equal opportunities with Italian citizens and citizens having equivalent rights.

Admission tests

The admission tests provided for these students are the same ones provided for the restricted access degree programmes and any other tests expected for Italian citizens. It is not required to pass the Italian language test.

Enrolment

The enrolment of students to the University of Bologna programmes is carried out online by visiting the Website Almawelcome!.
To access the online service, it is required to have a taxpayer's code.
For those who are still abroad, the taxpayer's code must be asked at the Italian diplomatic representation.
For those who are already in Italy, the taxpayer's code must be asked at one of the offices of the
"Agenzia delle Entrate"(Italian Tax Authority).

Once you have entered the personal data and selected the degree programme, the system automatically assigns an enrolment code and it allows to print the enrolment application form.
The payment of the first instalment of the university tuition fees may be carried out online or at one of the branches of UniCredit Bank by handing in a relevant code which can be downloaded from the AlmaWelcome service.
After completing the payment, the student must sign in the enrolment application and he/she must hand it in, together with other study documentation, to one of the welcoming points of AlmaWelcome! by and no later than the terms indicated for the academic year 2011/2012, as set forth in the appropriate
sectionof the Web Portal.


At the enrolment, the student shall receive a university badge to access all University services.


Documentation to be attached to the enrolment application

1) Secondary school diploma (original copy) obtained after at least 12 years of schooling; the diploma must be translated and duly validated (EU citizens can certify the secondary school diploma personally).
2) Declaration of value for the diploma to be released by the Italian diplomatic representation in the country to which the school/college belongs to.
3) Certificate assessing the student's passing of the academic admission/proficiency test (where required), if provided for the access to home country university.
4) Any university study certificate or non-university post-secondary study certificate (exams passed and exam programmes) for the obtainment of the enrolment to an academic year after the first one (shortening of the programme time limits) or for the completing of the 12-year schooling required for the access to the Italian universities.
5) Two ID photos.
6) For non-EU citizens having equivalent rights only: copy of the stay permit or stay card.

The documents written in a foreign language must be handed in the original copy together with the official translation into Italian; the translation is a responsibility of the applicant and must be certified by the relevant Italian diplomatic representation abroad.
For those who are already in Italy , they can turn to official translators or to the diplomatic representations of the country in which the document was released or to the relevant office of the local court.

The translation of the programmes of the university exams passed is not required if these are written in one of the following languages: English, French, German, or Spanish.
