General information
Following the university reforms (DM 270/04), the University of Bologna assures the conclusion of all degree programmes running under the previous degree programme system and the issue of the relative qualifications for all enrolled students.
It also offers students the option to enrol in the same degree programme reformed to comply with the new degree programme system.
Information concerning the criteria for recognising previous exams can be obtained by sending an e-mail to the degree programme secretariat of your faculty, or by consulting the conversion tables available which compare previous and reformed programmes.
How to apply
You may present your application, addressed to the "Magnifico Rettore" (Rector), completing the application form (in Italian) and affixing a 14.62€ duty stamp, to the Student Registry Office or degree programme secretariat in your faculty. Consult the specific delivery methods indicated on the Faculty website.
Transfer applications, which must include your degree programme, will be examined by the Board of the degree Programme you have chosen.
If you have chosen a single-cycle degree programme or single-cycle 2nd cycle degree programme, the Board will decide whether you are exonerated from the initial exam to assess your prior knowledge.
If you have chosen a second cycle degree programme, the Board will assess whether you possess the curricular requirements and whether you are exonerated from the assessment of your personal knowledge.
For information concerning the assessment methods and the requirements, refer to the sheet relative to the degree programme you are interested in.
You may present your application from 26 July 2011 to 30 November 2011, unless otherwise indicated by the Faculty Board - for free access programmes - or in the period and according to the methods laid down in the admission notice for restricted access programmes, which also require applicants to sit the entrance exam in the event of opting for the reformed degree system.
