Legal Support Service

Framework Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings, Research Agreements, Research Contracts and Sponsored Research Contracts, Research Funding Agreements.

The mission of the Legal Support Service is to provide legal advice and counsel to the Research Office and to University’s staff on all matters relating to technology transfer and conduct of research at University. This includes drafting and negotiation of relevant contracts and agreements with particular reference to issues related to protection and commercial exploitation of intellectual property rights.

Specific activities include:

  • University-Industry Research Cooperation
    - Drafting and negotiating Framework Agreements, Memorandum of Understandings, Letter of Intents;
    - Drafting and negotiating Collaborative Research Agreements.
  • Research Contracts or Service Contracts commissioned to University Structures and Departments by third parties
    - Review and drafting Research Contracts or Service Contracts;
    - Review and drafting Sponsored Clinical Trials.
  • Research Funding Agreements
    - Review and drafting Research Funding Agreements (Cooperative Agreements and other sponsored research contracts).
  • Legal support and advice on all intellectual property matters to the Research Office relating to the preparation of research projects at national, European and international level
    - Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts (License Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreement/NDA, Material Transfer Agreement/MTA, Copyright Disclaimer and Copyright Assignment, Consortium Agreements).
