Erasmus Programme
The Erasmus Programme with its Teaching Staff Mobility and Monitoring Visits programmes offers lecturers the opportunity to spend a period abroad.For further information on the Erasmus.
Leonardo Programme
Through this project the University of Bologna organises annual projects involving the funding of work placements for university lecturers and researchers with companies in a number of European countries.
Integrated Actions
MIUR and CRUI (Italian Rectors Conference) promote and fund programmes for mobility abroad to encourage the development of relations between Italian and foreign research groups.
Postgraduate Vocational Training Cooperation Programme between Italy and France (Vinci call)
The Italian-French university promotes cooperation projects between Italian and French institutions in the university teaching and scientific research sectors.
The Institute of Advanced Studies (ISA)
The Institute of Advanced Studies (ISA) promotes and organizes international and interdisciplinary research activities at the University of Bologna. The Institute selects and host visiting professors, postdoctoral researchers and Ph.D. students visiting the Alma Mater Studiorum.
Bologna-Clare Hall Fellowship (Academic Year 2004-05)
The University of Bologna and the Clare Hall College of University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) have started an academic collaboration entitled, the "Bologna-Clare Hall Fellowship".

The University of Bologna promotes, manages and maintains a rich variety of academic collaboration agreements with foreign universities, promoting professor, researcher and student mobility.
