Course contents
The course will focus on the organization and management of
permanent/temporary exhibitions in a museum or an exhibition centre
and will deal with the following topics: Museum identity and
vocation, exhibition concept, learning styles theories, team
building, budget, time-line, exhibition design, loans, transport
and insurance, facility report, marketing and communication
strategies, evaluation.

Wrap up and exam agreement
The course will focus on the organization and management of
permanent/temporary exhibitions in a museum or an exhibition centre
and will deal with the following topics: Exhibition concept,
learning styles theories, team building, budget, time-line,
exhibition design, loans, transport and insurance, facility report,
marketing and communication strategies, evaluation. The course will
also enjoy the participation of exhibition and event professionals
who will present their organizations as case studies. The students
will be required to work in teams in order to develop a simulated
project of an exhibition in one of the museum and/or exhibition
centre visited during the course, based on the acquired experience
and approved by the professor. The selected case study will be
developed according to students' backgrounds and skills
(communication, educational, curatorial, marketing, etc.). A paper
in English (max. 20 pages) has to be written by the team and a ppt
or multimedia presentation need to be prepared. Each team will
illustrate the project at the exam. Each student (member of a team)
has to write and illustrate his/her own part during the exam, and
will be individually evaluated.
