Postgraduate vocational training programmes

Learning new skills and updating existing knowledge are key factors when faced with the complexities of the working world. For people who wish to develop professionally and train for their career, the University of Bologna offers postgraduate vocational training programmes: continuing, permanent education programmes which offer the opportunity of obtaining a qualification certifying the competencies acquired, and the official recognition of university credits.

What are the postgraduate vocational training programmes organised by the University of Bologna and who are they intended for?

The postgraduate vocational training programmes (permanent and continuing education) organised by the University of Bologna are intended for working people or people who have already started a career.
The teaching programme offered is flexible and personalised in terms of teaching contents and the timetable for activities, and it has been conceived so that working people can follow the courses.

In particular this year’s offer includes:

  • postgraduate vocational training programmes of an academic nature open to all who wish to study specific cultural subjects in detail.
  • continuous education programmes intended for working people, giving the credits necessary for the different professions (ECM, etc.).

At the end of the course a final certificate is issued and University credits are recognised.

Despite the fact that many announcements of competition are intended for young workers they do not exclude the participation of unemployed people as long as they have some significant work experience.

Financial contributions are available for 21 of the courses at the University.  For further information on the contributions go to the website
