Professional Profile
The objective of the course is to train translators who will specialize in fields pertaining to screen translation: experts in the translation and localization of audiovisual works especially focusing on dubbing and subtitling for TV, cinema and in business. The course is aimed at offering specific training for the development of innovative applications of audiovisual translation, such as the translation of videogames, applications in portable technology, and subtitling for the stage. The Masters course will focus on many forms of audiovisional translation that are still untapped resources in Italy, such as audiodescription (for the visually impaired) and respeaking (real time subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing).
