Libraries for Everyone

A guide to the accessibility of the libraries of the Humanities Programme with useful information for users with sight and motor disabilities.

Introduction
The objective of this project is to give useful information so the user can evaluate if and how to access the libraries by anticipating resources and obstacles and thereby construct a mental map.

Libraries taking part in the experimental project
Six libraries of the Humanities Programme have participated in the first phase:

  1. Archaeology
  2. CILTA - "L. Heilmann" Inter-faculty Centre of Applied and Theoretical Linguistics
  3. History
  4. Humanistic Studies
  5. Foreign Modern Languages and Literatures
  6. Palaeography and Medieval Studies

For each library the following items are available in the Attachments box:
- a guide in PDF format with maps
- the same guide in text format
- a guide designed to provide the necessary information to visually impaired people so they can construct a mental map of the spaces near and inside the libraries
